Why?
Hi, I am Arnold and I come from the heart of the East Slovakia – from Košice, and here's my WHY.
It all started just a few months back in one bar where I met my girlfriend. The first thing she told me was that she had participated more than ten youth exchanges during past two years and that it gave her so much. She was planning to travel to Austria for a few days. I liked the idea of spending Christmas holidays with her somewhere in Austria very much so I asked her the day before she left if I could join her.
The predominantly instinctive decision gave birth to love! Not just between us, but also between me and Erasmus +. I enjoyed my first exchange. I learned and experienced a lot of things surrounded by great people from different parts of Europe. During this exchange, I really liked informal learning which is one of the main parts of Erasmus + programme.
Then, my next exchange followed during which I took the role of a leader despite my relatively low age. I saw how many "banalities" must be handled by the Erasmus + project managers. But I didn’t let it discourage me.
Why did I choose to be an intern in YY SR? In Erasmus + programme, I have seen its value and how much it can give to people so I decided to offer it to other young people. Our school system is not designed to teach us some practical skills but, fortunately, Erasmus+ programme can make it up to us, to young people. It enables us to gain precious experience and, on the other hand, it gives us the chance to discover different corners of Europe and different cultures. Is it possible not to love Erasmus+?
As an intern, I want to help people grow personally and, at the same time, I want to grow, too.
