Why?
"I want to change the world." I think each of us has declared this sentence at least once. A year ago, when I felt it was not enough just to desire a change, my journey to non-formal education began with exactly this sentence.
After returning from these projects, I gradually realized that in one week in an international environment or one afternoon in a local activity, I gained significantly more competencies than in the years spent at the school desk. I consider, experiencing diverse cultures, meeting new people who even speak a different language as a benefit and one who does not travel loses an opportunity to obtain a new view of life and world altogether through this incredible experience. The new environment offered me the opportunity to find real values, to get to know myself and this helped me to have a better vision of my future after graduation.
Every foreign experience teaches me how to think globally and act locally - with an open mind and heart; without the use of hate speech and stereotyping others. Only just at that point we can take steps towards a better world - as individuals or the whole community. I believe many young people in Slovakia want to be educated, to increase their competencies and opportunities. Young people have the potential to develop and come up with meaningful solutions and to make a beneficial impact on their community. Non-formal education brings us precisely these possibilities, but its potential and visibility among people are far from being fully discovered, even though its possibilities are greater than they seem. If you are just asking how to get into this circle of possibilities, the answer is straightforward: "indeed want and start."

I joined Youthfully Yours SK to represent a bridge with a team of inspiring people, on the way to young people on the way to their future and enriching society. Volunteering in this organization brings me a new experience, knowledge, and the opportunity to develop my ideas, which gives me a sense of usefulness and meaningfulness of the work done for the organization and the community.
