Why?

Ludka

Project coordinator

I started asking myself why after my first Erasmus+ mobility in Romania. I met great people there. One of them was our volunteer Emma. Of course she told me more about erasmus+ and non-formal learning opportunities from the participant’s point of view, but also from the other side.

After returning home I was full of good emotions and enthusiasm to share these experiences and opportunities with my peers. I was excited about the idea of doing something similar and directly contributing to spreading awareness and helping with mobility. After my second project, I was determined to at least give it a try. I hesitated for a long time, but I was still drawn in that direction – to give young people from Slovakia the opportunity to experience what I did and to learn something new at the same time.

I applied for the YYSK team. The first coordination was a bit messy, but my colleagues were always able to advise me. After a year in the organization, surrounded by young motivating people who have a similar vision of the world, I can only confirm that it was the right decision. I’m growing as a coordinator, picking up skills in different areas and learning things that are hard to learn in a school classroom.

Although the beginnings weren’t quite perfect, but now when our old participant writes to tell me that he is going on another mobility, there is a sense of satisfaction and mission accomplished… …,

“Yes, I have contributed to the education and awareness of the youth!”
