Project Organizator: Friends of Romanian Children

The training course will take place between 15th – 22nd July 2024 in Halos, Romania

Overall goal: The Craft Art training course focuses on teaching new tools and theoretical knowledge about applied craft & art therapy to support young people in addressing today's challenges.

Project objectives:

  • Create group cohesion compatible with experiential learning and craft & art-making
  • Facilitate various applied craft & art therapy experiences
  • Facilitate and ensure the understanding of a craft art-therapy session structure
  • Build sustainable materials for a learning festival
  • Train the basic vocabulary for using different art expression with a therapeutic purpose.

Number of participants: 2/3

Participating countries: Malta, Slovakia, Spain, Portugal, Romania

Ideal Participant profile:

  • Youth leader, youth worker, educator, trainer, facilitator, mentor, or teachers
  • Motivated individual eager to learn about craft art therapy practices
  • Must be at least 18 years old with a good knowledge of English

Important information:

Accommodation, food, materials, and travel costs (up to the maximum allowed amount) are covered.

Travel cost limits: reimbursed up to €275 directly by the organizer (no money goes through YYSK)
Each participant is individually responsible for the planning and implementation of the trip.

Extremely important: Keep all travel receipts and tickets for reimbursement, as the participant must keep the travel document to and from the destination and hand it over / send it to the project organizer according to his instructions.

Insurance: Travel insurance is NOT paid by the organizers or subsequently reimbursed. Each participant is obliged to take out health insurance, which is valid in Romania.

  • Only purchase tickets after receiving written confirmation from the organizers (friends.of.children.romania@gmail.com)
  • Participants may stay up to 2 days before/after the training at their own expense
  • All participants must attend all sessions and participate in dissemination activities afterward
