A living dream – Agrarian learning model in primary school

As climate change and environmental degradation continue to threaten our planet, it has become increasingly clear that sustainable education is essential for supporting a new generation of environmentally conscious citizens. Project A Living Dream addresses this need by promoting environmental sustainability and climate change awareness among primary school teachers and students aged 8-12. Our innovative agrarian learning model combines traditional classroom learning with hands-on activities such as gardening, farming, and animal husbandry to inspire and educate young learners.

Our Vision and Goals

Project A Living Dream empowers primary school students with patience, perseverance, and environmental awareness. By integrating practical, nature-based activities into the curriculum, we focus on making learning engaging and applicable to everyday life. Our vision is to nurture a generation of students who are knowledgeable and equipped with the skills and attitudes needed to impact the environment positively.

Key Focus Areas

Environment and Climate Change Awareness: Our comprehensive educational program promotes environmental sustainability and awareness. Through experiential learning activities, students deeply understand ecological principles and the importance of sustainable practices.

Development of Key Competencies We focus on enhancing the development of critical competencies among students by promoting cross-curricular collaboration, innovative learning approaches, and creativity. Our agrarian model training program equips teachers with the tools and methods to foster these competencies in their students.

Tackling Learning Disadvantages Our project aims to address learning disadvantages, early school leaving, and low proficiency in basic skills by providing a safe and supportive learning environment. We help students overcome challenges and succeed academically by promoting learner-centred approaches and early intervention.

Adaptation to Digital Learning In recognition of the digital transformation in education, our project includes an online educational resource offering bite-sized learning modules, digital badges, and a teacher guidebook. Additionally, we will develop an online training platform featuring the Agrarian Model Training Program for teachers.
