EuroParliament 2.0
(Youth Exchange)
21-30.10.2022/ Katowice/ Poland
Organizator of the project: New Europe Foundation
The project will take place between 22-29.10.2022 in Katowice in Poland (21.10 and 30.10 are travel days)
The aim of the project is to exchange experiences for a better understanding of European citizenship and democracy at the level of the EU institutions from the point of view of representatives of different cultures. We will achieve our goals by conducting a model simulation of the game: Europarliament 2.0 and the accompanying discussion on European citizenship and the purpose of the European Parliament. The game will allow you to expand your knowledge, through non-formal education, about what the European Parliament is and why it is a key institution for the coherence of European democracy and the building of conscious European citizenship. In addition to the participants themselves, the project may affect thousands of groups interested in running the game in their local community, educational institutions, non-governmental organizations, sports teams, or universities.
Objectives of the course:
The project's objective is to respond to the limited participation of citizens in democratic processes and their lack of knowledge about the EU and to help overcome the difficulties associated with active involvement and participation in their communities in the political and social life of the European Union. Young participants aged 18 to 25 will take part in the exchange.
