Empower youth workers in the mission of countering
Euroscepticism and inspiring active involvement among young Europeans

The training course will take place between the 8th of April and the 14th of April 2024, in Rezekne, Latvia.

The project aim: The project "Be active - Be European" is designed to empower youth workers in the mission of countering
Euroscepticism and inspiring active involvement among young Europeans in the upcoming 2024 European
Elections.

Objectives of the meeting:

➔ To discuss between partners the vital role of youth in EU civic engagement and to raise awareness
about the challenges posed by Euroscepticism; 

➔ To explore how the European Union Parliament works, how do EU policies emerge, how significant are EU Elections, and what are the
notable achievements of the EU; 

➔  To equip youth workers with the knowledge and tools to effectively prepare young citizens and first-time voters for the 2024 European Elections;
➔  To engage in informative sessions, share experiences, and explore the positive impacts
of the EU on its citizens;

Number of participants: 3

Participating Countries: Latvia, Spain, Lithuania, Cyprus, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Poland, Slovakia

 Participant requirements:

  •  between 18-35 years old;
  • youth workers active in youth work and connected with young people;
  • educators and teachers;
  • willing to broaden their perspective on their european citizenship;
  • youth workers from rural areas;
  • youth workers, leaders and educators with limited access to educational resources;
  • Able to communicate in English at a moderate level (Participants with limited
    knowledge are also welcome if they are willing to try to improve themselves before and during the activity dates). 

Important info:

Accommodation, meals, and the program throughout the project are fully reimbursed according to the rules of the Erasmus + program through the project organizer.

Travel costs will be reimbursed to the participant for up to 275€.

Each participant is individually responsible for the planning and implementation of the trip. Extremely important: The participant must keep the travel document to and from the destination and hand it over / send it to the project organizer according to his instructions.

Insurance: Travel insurance is NOT paid by the organization or subsequently reimbursed. Each participant must take out health insurance, which is valid in Latvia.
