Theater tools for dramatic situations in Romania

Back in February I spent unforgettable 10 days in Romania. The reason for that was my participation in an Erasmus training course “Theater Tools for Dramatic Situations” which took place in Sarata Monteoru and Buzau. Being surrounded by a number of great souls from different countries did encourage me to work hard within the whole project. The organizer truly appreciated our efforts and prepared for us some nice surprises.

The main goal of the project was to understand the topic of tolerance and how this issue could be tackled by theater. By using various theater techniques, which were kindly proposed by the project trainers, we tried to discover some aspects of the topic such as migration, asylum seekers and refugees. This preparation part was held in the mountainous countryside where lovely Sărata-Monteoru is situated. After one week in that beautiful place we were prepared to perform in front of the public , and for this we had to relocate to Buzău. On our way from one place to another we also visited Berca Mud Volcanoes, a place with the most unique landscape I have ever seen.

And here we are: equipped, well dressed, knowing exactly what we have prepared for the audience. The two hours which we spent on the stage is one of the most remarkable moments of 2022. My time in Romania flew by so fast and it was already the moment to say goodbye.

Full of new experience and nice memories, I set off on a journey home, during which I was recalling all the beautiful moments we had all together in Sărata-Monteoru and Buzău. On this occasion, I would like to thank the Youthfully Yours organization for giving me such an incredible opportunity. I do believe I have gained such a unique experience which not long after encouraged me to help refugees coming to our country from Ukraine.

Have a look at our work done!!
