TC The Power of Stories - Digital Storytelling for Youth Workers
We had an amazing opportunity to participate in the Erasmus+ project called The Power of Stories. It took place from April 13th to 21st in Puck, Poland. We focused on digitizing our stories.
It was our first Erasmus+ project that we participated in and it certainly surprised us. This emotionally short week left us with feelings and memories that I will remember often. We experienced getting to know new cultures and the world as we had never seen it before. The theme of the project definitely brought us closer together faster than we expected. We worked on making our own film, but mainly on sharing life experiences. Such a theme can bring people closer together very quickly. And I am very glad that we chose this particular project.
The town of Puck is small but beautiful. It is truly a writer’s paradise. We lived by the Baltic Sea and the daily views gave us endless inspiration for our film. Nearby is the historic Gothic building of the parish church of St. Apostles Peter and Paul, where we went to look while we were on a walk and were pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the church.
Let’s not forget the day in Hel where the wind blows all the time, but it didn’t deter anyone. Also the beautiful city of Gdansk where we spent the day exploring the old town, which is unforgettable by the way. I will definitely come to see the historical buildings with colorful colors again.
The skills we learned there are important for me in my life. Working with people can be difficult, but this project showed me how to express my experiences and emotions in other ways.
It was our first Erasmus+ project, but from our experience we would recommend it to everyone. I would not be afraid of foreign languages or other cultures, because being in such an environment can enrich a person with many things. We want to thank the organization Youthfully Yours SK for providing us with this opportunity
