APV Skills4Future
I had the opportunity to take part in the Erasmus+ project SKILLS4FUTURE, focused on the development of soft skills, as well as in the Advanced Planning Visit (APV) held prior to the youth exchange itself. The main aim of the project is to support young people’s personal and social development, strengthen their communication, teamwork, and organizational competences, and better prepare them for the challenges of future education and working life.
The APV meeting took place in the Italian town of Molfetta, where we met with the hosting organization from Italy and youth leaders from partner countries — Romania, Sweden, Poland, and Spain. During the programme, we addressed not only organizational and administrative aspects of the project, but also co-created the content of the youth exchange. As the project is built around participants and leaders who actively shape the programme, we jointly discussed and decided on activities and methods to be implemented during the exchange.
As part of the preparation, each country agreed to design its own thematic activity block, which will be brought and delivered as a team during the youth exchange scheduled for April 2026. This approach will enrich the programme with diverse perspectives, cultural approaches, and experiences from each participating country.
Alongside the working sessions, the programme also included cultural exploration. We had the chance to discover the charm of the historic town of Molfetta, visit its museums, and wander through lively streets that offered an authentic glimpse into local Italian life.
I would warmly recommend taking part in an Erasmus+ project to anyone who has ever considered it. It is a unique opportunity to step outside your comfort zone, overcome personal barriers, and try new things — whether it is flying for the first time or communicating in English in an international environment. You naturally improve your language skills, meet inspiring people from different countries, discover new places, and gain memories and friendships that last a lifetime.
Last but not least, I would like to sincerely thank Youthfully Yours SK for providing young people with access to such meaningful international opportunities and supporting their development. Many thanks for the trust and for the chance to be part of this project.
