TC EduPlay

During my days in Varna, Bulgaria, I had the opportunity to participate in an Erasmus+ training course focused on the topic of gamification in education. The project brought together participants from several European countries to discover how game elements can be used to make learning more effective, develop teamwork and support the active involvement of young people.

Throughout the training, we worked mainly through experiential and non-formal education. The first days were dedicated to familiarization activities, team games and building trust between participants. Thanks to interactive methods, we quickly got to know each other and created an international environment full of new ideas and cultural exchange.

The main theme of the project was gamification – the use of games in education. Through various activities and simulations, we explored how games can increase participants’ motivation, support creativity and help them acquire new knowledge. Most of the workshops were based on practical activities, during which we tried out the individual methods ourselves.

A significant part of the program was made up of debate games and activities developing critical thinking. In international teams, we discussed current social issues, learned to argue and find solutions to various problems. Such games showed us that learning can be not only effective, but also fun.

In addition to the educational part, we had the opportunity to get to know the city of Varna, its culture and the local environment. During our stay, we were accommodated in the Detelina hotel, which provided us with a pleasant environment throughout the project.

Participating in the training course was a valuable experience for me. I gained new knowledge about gamification, learned new methods of working with youth, and at the same time met many inspiring people from different countries. The project showed me that learning does not have to be done only in a traditional way, but can be based on play, cooperation and active involvement of each participant.
