YE Theatre of Dreams
In the beginning of August, our Slovak group took part in the youth exchange “Theatre of Dreams”, which took place from the 3rd to the 9th of August 2025 in the picturesque town of Bollendorf, Germany. The project was organized by Youthfully Yours together with partners from Germany, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, Spain, Ireland and Slovakia, and supported by the Erasmus+ program. The main aim of the exchange was to foster intercultural understanding and creativity among young Europeans through theatre and dance. Under the theme of fairy tales and emotions, participants explored artistic expression, teamwork and emotional awareness while building new friendships across borders.
During our stay, we significantly improved our teamwork skills and learned how to overcome various challenges together. Through workshops, we practiced expressing our emotions clearly, looking at things from different perspectives, and better understanding various life situations. These experiences helped us grow not only personally but also in our ability to cooperate with people from different cultures.
While traveling, we gained valuable experience with different means of transportation – from planes, buses, and trains to local public transport. We learned to plan our journeys effectively, navigate timetables, and handle longer routes with patience. Unexpected situations taught us to respond flexibly and quickly find solutions.
For us, traveling became not just a way of moving from point A to point B, but also an opportunity to discover the country, meet local people, and get to know their everyday life. Along the way, we built new friendships and formed relationships with people from different countries.
