YE Unplug to plug smarter

The project “Unplug to Plug Smarter” took place from 9.3. to 14.3. in the town Fužine in CroatiaIts main goal was to show us how technology and being online affect our lives, mental health, and relationships. It was through interesting activities, open discussions, spending time in nature, and digital detox during sessions and reflections afterwards.

Thanks to the work of organizators, we explored how unplugging from time to time can make wonders in how we experience life. We also looked on the rising AI question, how to use it healthy and because of activities like creating our own podcast, we saw how sometimes refusing to use AI can foster your own creativityBesides that, we had time to visit nearby coastal city Rijeka, spend time in nature with beautiful lake and learn some outdoor skills like making fire. In addition, we had a chance to socialize with peers from different countries. With them we played board games, laughed a lot and shared our culture every evening on fascinating “intercultural night” where we also played Kahoot, tasted different food and tried different dances.

The project showed me how important it is to be perceptive about our screen time and how beautiful life is even without the phone. Huge shout out to organizators from Udruga DrONe who were really helpful and friendly before, during and after our stay.

We ended this short project with a difficult farewell to new friends and with many wonderful memories.
