TC Human Rights Odyssey

The training course will take place between 25.-30.5.2026 in Karlovac, Croatia.

Overall goal: To empower youth workers to understand, advocate for, and protect human rights in an increasingly digital and technologically advanced world.

Project objectives:

The Human Rights Odyssey training explores how human rights must evolve in a rapidly changing world shaped by digital, biological, and emerging technologies. Participants will:

1. Analyze the current state of human rights with a focus on Fourth Generation Rights
2. Explore key topics such as digital sovereignty, mental integrity, genetic privacy, and the right to disconnect
3. Develop critical thinking and practical approaches to protecting human dignity in modern societies
4. Engage with local communities to connect theory with real-world action

Ideal Participant profile:

• 18+
• Have a strong interest in human rights and emerging societal challenges
• Are eager to learn, reflect, and actively participate
• Feel comfortable communicating and collaborating in English
• Are ready to engage with local communities and step outside their comfort zone
• Have some prior experience, knowledge, or curiosity about topics such as digital rights, privacy, or ethics
