The youth exchange will take place between 1st of September 2025 and 10th of September 2025 in Arrouquelas, Rio Maior, Portugal.
Overall goal: To cultivate an ecological mindset
Project objectives:
- Understanding Permaculture: Equip participants with the knowledge and skills to apply sustainable practices in daily life and long-term planning
- Empowering Local Action: Provide young people with the confidence to engage with local communities and initiate sustainability projects like biodistricts
- Promoting Environmental Awareness: Inspire eco-friendly habits through outdoor education, fostering a deeper connection with the environment
- Encouraging Active Participation: Empower young people to engage in decision-making and understand the link between active citizenship and community development
- Fostering Intercultural Exchange: Promote mutual respect and collaboration among young Europeans, sharing diverse cultural perspectives on sustainability
Working language: English.
Number of participants: 4+1
Ideal Participant profile:
- 18+
- Young people who are interested in environmental sustainability and eager to promote green practices, particularly through permaculture principles
Important information:
Accommodation, food, materials, and travel costs (up to the maximum allowed amount) are covered.
Travel cost limits: Based on the distance, check the Infopack
Extremely important: Keep all travel receipts and tickets for reimbursement, as the participant must keep the travel document to and from the destination and hand it over / send it to the project organizer according their instructions.
Insurance: Travel insurance is NOT paid by the organizers or subsequently reimbursed. Each participant is obliged to take out health insurance, which is valid in Portugal.
- Only purchase tickets after receiving written confirmation from the organizers.
- All participants must attend all sessions and participate in dissemination activities afterwards.
