[Youth mobility] Delay Instant Gratification

The youth exchange will take place between 28th of August and 1st of September in Porto, Portugal.

IMPORTANT: This Youth mobility is a part of KA2 [large scale] project. DIG – Delay Instant Gratification for a Better Life is an Erasmus+ project focused on helping teenagers overcome the constant pressure for immediate rewards.

Project objectives:

  • In this mobility the youth will explore how to apply delayed gratification strategies in real-life situations and how to support each other in making better choices for the future
  • It will bring together selected participants to learn, reflect, share experiences and strengthen important life skills connected to perseverance, patience, decision-making and delayed gratification.
  • The mobility is also a space to practise communication, cooperation, creativity and intercultural learning.

Number of participants: 5 young people and 1 youth leader

Ideal Participant profile:

  • 15-19 years old
  • Interested in personal development and youth learning
  • Willing to take part in group activities and reflection sessions
  • Open to meeting young people from other countries
  • Ready to participate actively during the full programme

Important information:

Accommodation, food and materials are covered by the E+ programme. Travel costs are covered up to the travel cost limit.

Travel cost limits: 395€

Extremely important: Keep all travel receipts and tickets for reimbursement, as the participant must keep the travel document to and from the destination and hand it over / send it to the project organizer according their instructions.

Insurance: Travel insurance is NOT paid by the organizers or subsequently reimbursed. Each participant is obliged to take out health insurance, which is valid in Portugal.

  • Only purchase tickets after receiving written confirmation from the organizers.
  • All participants must attend all sessions and participate in dissemination activities afterwards.
