Our Erasmus+ project journey started when we gathered at the Bratislava railway station, traveled together to Schwechat airport, and then flew to Milan. In the late afternoon, we arrived in Galbiate, where organizers awaited us and took us to the project site. Dinner awaited us at the accommodation. They showed us the project venue as well as the surroundings, from where there was a beautiful view of the night skyline of Milan and the Alps.

The following day, we met other participants from Albania, Bulgaria, Italy, and Spain. This day of the project was dedicated to team-building activities and workshops, mainly focused on shaping the team and stepping out of our comfort zones.

The main focus of the project was dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of volunteering, as well as the opportunities within our countries and international programs within the European Union.

On the free day, we explored the historical part of Bergamo as well as Milan and its iconic landmarks including the Milan Cathedral, Castello Sforzesco, the canal system, through which we traveled by boat.

Evenings were filled with intercultural nights and jointly planned activities such as karaoke or movie night. At the intercultural nights, each country had the opportunity to present their nation in various ways, such as short videos, Kahoot quizzes, national dances, or performances.

The last evening was dedicated to the presentation of Youthpass and a farewell party. This project allowed us to meet amazing people from around the world, learn about their cultures, and gain new perspectives on various topics. We brought home many unforgettable memories, new friendships, as well as insights into volunteering, foreign cultures and customs. We greatly appreciate this opportunity and hope to utilize the knowledge and skills we gained in our future endeavors.
