Learning, sharing and shaping the future together in Košice

In December 2025, the partners of the PureLife / #NormShift project came together in Košice, Slovakia, for an exciting Learning, Teaching and Training Activity hosted by FLEXSKILL. Over several days, the partnership worked side by side to test the training programme, improve project materials, and move the project one step closer to supporting young people in building healthier, alcohol-free lifestyles.

The meeting was much more than a formal project activity. It was a space for learning, discussion, creativity, and teamwork. Partners explored the training modules in practice, shared their reflections, and discussed how to make the materials more engaging, relevant, and useful for young people and youth workers. The programme included hands-on sessions on confidence, identity, peer influence, and the social realities behind alcohol-related pressure. Activities such as Confidence in the Crowd, Reclaim the Fun, and Identity Hunt helped participants experience the training from the learner’s perspective.

Another important part of the LTTA was reviewing the Hybrid Peer Facilitator Training Manual and the Mentorship Guide, which will support young peer educators and those guiding them. By discussing these tools together, partners were able to collect valuable feedback and make sure the materials are practical, clear, and inspiring.

The final day focused on evaluation, planning the pilot testing phase, and gathering participants’ feedback on the toolkit. This helped the partnership identify what works well, what can be improved, and how to prepare the next steps of the project in a meaningful way.

For Youthfully Yours SK, this LTTA was an important moment in the project journey. It showed how international cooperation can turn ideas into real educational tools that speak to young people in a relatable and empowering way. The days in Košice were full of energy, reflection, and motivation — and they reminded us that building healthier lifestyles starts with honest conversations, shared learning, and giving young people the space to lead change.
