TC Capture the Future & Guide and Workshops

The experiences we gained during this training course in Elniakampis, Lithuania were very insightful in regards to the number of soft skills provided during all our sessions that were conducted in a non-formal way of education. We managed to learn the necessary fundamentals of photography, along with the necessity of working in quite a diverse community of people around us during the span of this short-term training course which lasted for 8 days. Education has been provided by professionals in the given field along with a great sense of responsibility and patience from their side.

During the intensive sessions, we managed to get our hands on photography editing softwares such as photoshop or lightroom, where we all went from scratch. We have learned that in photography, patience is the key and besides taking pictures, we also experienced work with studio equipment, where we could try installing all the equipment ourselves. What we also found unique is the fact that we, as youth workers got to experience giving out our gained know-how during the project at a high school in Vilnius to the local students, where we held lessons teaching the students about the basics/fundamentals of Erasmus+ and the “Capture the future” training course. Along with work, we managed to create bonds and friendships with people of other nationalities, which we consider a big part of Erasmus+ projects that last long even after the projects have ended.

To get an even better idea of how a training course can look like and to tase the atmosphere of this one in particular, we invite you to watch this video which captures our experiences! Watch HERE

Also, if you are interested in photography or are looking to expand your knowledge and acquire new skills, please check our Guide of photography as a tool for youth employability, which was combined by the participating youth workers of this Erasmus+ project. We hope it can be a useful tool for youth!

And last but not least, after the mobility, we organized two workshops for young people in our community to share the experiences and knowledge we gained during the project.

ERASMUS+ OPPORTUNITIES INFO WORKSHOP
14 April 2025
University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava, Trnava

A workshop was held at the university to introduce students to the Erasmus+ program and the various opportunities it offers. The aim was to raise awareness about the possibility of studying or training abroad and to encourage students to explore international experiences.
The presentation provided an overview of the program’s structure, the application process, and much more. It also included practical advice on how to prepare for life in a foreign country — from language learning to adapting to new cultures.
As part of the presentation, an Erasmus experience in Lithuania was highlighted. This example demonstrated how participating in the program can lead to both career and personal growth. The experience in Lithuania emphasized the importance of developing independence, flexibility, and intercultural communication skills, while also offering unforgettable memories and valuable connections.
We encouraged students to consider Erasmus+ not only as an educational opportunity, but as a life-changing adventure that broadens horizons and builds confidence.

PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP FOR YOUTH
26 April 2025
Domček Anny Kolesárovej, Vysoká nad Uhom

At the youth center Domček in Vysoká nad Uhom, we organized a presentation and workshop focused on the basics of photography. The goal was to introduce young people to how photography can help develop their technical skills, creativity, and attention to detail.
During the workshop, participants learned fundamental photography techniques and explored how to work with light, composition, and storytelling through images. In the practical part, they had the opportunity to photograph various scenes and objects — with a focus on capturing atmosphere and emotion.
The event also encouraged young people to actively engage in documenting activities in the youth center and to recognize the beauty in everyday moments. The newly acquired skills were immediately put into practice during the ongoing weekend gathering.
