TC Reflected Realities

In the charming Italian village Vinci happened an event that will stay in the hearts and minds of many people for a long time. Between 3rd and 11th of June 2026 participants from across EU gathered to experience experience a training course called Reflected Realities. This project was financed by Erasmus+.

Participants had the opportunity not only to better understand themselves but also to see how others perceive them and how people view life from their own perspectives. Meeting individuals from different countries and cultures helped them realize that there is no single “right” way to think or live. Each conversation brought a new perspective and encouraged them to reflect on their own beliefs and experiences.

One of the most valuable aspects of the project was building genuine friendships with people from diverse backgrounds. Sharing experiences, supporting one another, and learning together helped them feel connected to a broader international community.

The project also encouraged self-reflection and creative exploration through non-formal education methods such as storytelling, debates, group discussions, and outdoor activities. These experiences helped them become more aware of their self-image, strengths, and areas for growth. They especially appreciated the safe and supportive environment, where everyone could express themselves without fear of judgment.

They believe that the knowledge, skills, and relationships gained during the project would stay with them for a long time and support both their personal development and their future work with young people, promoting empathy, inclusion, and intercultural understanding.

The program was very diverse and started with the so-called mission (Im)possible, which brought the whole group together. The mission was ultimately successful.
Later, they explored how the labels they put on themselves and others place on them influence the way they see themselves. They had an engaging cultural night with representations from seven different countries. It was an amazing experience to try food and drinks from different cultures and share what makes each culture unique.

Later, they created a beautiful gallery at the venue with photos of all participants as children. They reconnected with their inner child through storytelling and then wrote messages to their younger selves, especially words of encouragement.

One afternoon, they took a trip to the nearby small town of Vinci, close to Leonardo da Vinci’s birthplace, where they explored his inventions, enjoyed beautiful views from a tower, and had delicious gelato.

Their free day was spent in Florence, where they had the opportunity to visit the Uffizi Gallery and see original paintings by masters such as Da Vinci, Botticelli, and Michelangelo. They were amazed by the beauty of Florence.

In the final days, they explored nonviolent communication and ways it could support them in both their personal and professional lives.

Overall, they felt very grateful for the opportunity. They believed the training course was highly beneficial for them and other young people dealing with topics such as self-identity. They gained valuable experience and knowledge and especially appreciated that all activities took place in a safe environment where they could share without fear of judgment.

A heartfelt thank you goes to everyone involved, especially to organizers of this valuable project from organization Agrado, but also to participants that made this event full of life, meaning and genuine connection.
