Our project called Disconnect to reconnect took place on a farm on a hill near the town of Passignano Sul Trasimeno. However, we joined forces with the Slovaks, suppressed prejudices about outdoor showers and toilets, and threw ourselves into an adventure with such enthusiasm that we won as much as we could. In 100 years´ time, the likelihood of survival of humans is truly not a good-looking one. At least that is how it looks like unless we change our behavior to the concept of long-term sustainability & start to concern it as a serious issue. By the week well-spent in little sleepy town Bedsted-Thy we discovered several topics & uncovered the bases of upcycling, perks of genetically modified mood in a form of academic debate, geographic cycles of Milutin Milankovitch & went on a one-day trip to Aarhus, where we could try the ultimate paper-clip challenge, in which the principle of the game consists the fact you have to trade as many things as possible with random people in the streets, setting off with just a tiny next-to-useless paperclip. If I were to estimate the project considering all pros & cons included, all I can say the organizers did an incomparably better job than in the previous project, which took place in Poland & I had participated in as well. …
